Terms and Conditions (T&C) of the Justus Application

1. Introduction

Welcome to Justus. By using our application, you accept these T&C, which define the rules of use for Justus as well as the rights and obligations of users and Justus. These T&C may be modified at any time, and any changes will be communicated to users.

2. Use of the Application

• Minimum age: The use of Justus is restricted to individuals aged 13 or older, in accordance with European guidelines.

• Global access: Justus is accessible worldwide, without geographical restrictions.

• Reserved for personal use: The Justus application is strictly intended for personal use by individuals. Accounts for brands, businesses, or commercial entities are not permitted. Justus reserves the right to delete without notice all brand accounts, regardless of their activity or geographical location.

• User account: To use the application, you must create an account by providing a phone number, last name, and first name. An OTP code will be sent to validate the registration. Each user can create one or more "Circles" to share private moments with invited members.

3. Content Creation and Sharing

• Allowed content types: Users can share photos and comment in private circles. Shared content must comply with established rules. The following are prohibited:
  • Content of a pornographic, child pornographic, violent, defamatory, hateful, or obscene nature.
  • Content that infringes on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
  • Content inciting violence, discrimination, or illegal behaviors.

• Moderation: Justus reserves the right to remove without notice any content that does not comply with these rules. Users can report inappropriate content directly through the application. In case of repeated violations, Justus may suspend or terminate a user account.

4. Intellectual Property and License

• Rights to content: Users retain ownership of the content they publish on Justus. By sharing content, the user grants Justus a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, and worldwide license to use the content for purposes related to the operation and promotion of the application. This license ends when the user deletes their content or account, unless the content has been shared with other users and they have not deleted it.

• Promotional use: Justus may use shared content for its internal promotional campaigns, particularly in emails or notifications, while respecting users' privacy settings.

• Respect for copyright: Users agree to only publish content for which they own the rights or have obtained permission.

5. Advertising and Interactions with Brands

Currently, Justus does not display advertisements. However, in the future, brands may interact with users through sponsored content in private circles. No personal data will be shared with advertisers without prior consent.

6. Technologies and Data Storage

• Technologies used: Justus uses technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve user experience, particularly for personalizing interactions and moderating content.

• Data storage and transfer: Justus reserves the right to store and transfer user data globally, including in countries outside their residence, in accordance with applicable laws. Data management follows the principles detailed in the Privacy Policy.

7. Content Removal and Notifications

• Content removal: If Justus determines that content violates the T&C, it may be removed without notice. In case of account or content removal, the user may request a review of the decision.

• Notifications: Users are informed of any modifications or removals via in-app notifications. Appeal options may be made available in certain cases.

8. Security and Abuse Prevention

Justus is committed to providing a secure environment for its users, through technologies for abuse prevention, data protection, and anti-harassment measures. Abusive users may have their accounts suspended or deleted after investigation.

9. Paid Features

At present, Justus does not offer any paid features. Access to the application and all its functionalities is entirely free.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Limitation of liability: Justus strives to ensure the proper functioning of the application, but cannot be held responsible for temporary service interruptions, data loss, or acts of third parties. Justus's liability is limited in cases where damages result from the use of the application, provided that these damages do not result from intentional or gross negligence by Justus.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

• Account suspension: Justus reserves the right to suspend or delete a user account in case of violation of the T&C, abusive behavior, or repeated reports. Termination may be immediate and without notice.

• Appeal: Users whose account has been suspended can submit an appeal request through the application's support. Justus will evaluate each request and may reinstate the account after review.

12. T&C Updates

Justus reserves the right to modify these T&C at any time. Any changes will be communicated to users via an in-app notification. Users will need to accept the new T&C before continuing to use the application.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These T&C are governed by French law and any dispute relating to their application will be subject to the competent jurisdiction.
